Notice to our P.O.A.H. client families

For the safety of our clients and staff:

Pershing Oaks Animal Hospital has adopted the following procedures in order to comply with the CDC recommendations for social distancing.

  1.  We ask clients to call to make an appointment.  Receptionists will inform clients of these new procedures.

  2. Upon arrival for your appointment – please stay in your vehicle and call the office number 407-249-0220.

  3. The receptionist will gather pertinent information for the medical record and determine if you wish to wait in your car or return at a later time for pick-up.

  4. The phone call will then be transferred to a technician who will gather details of the patient’s condition, clinical signs/duration of signs, and any other concerns you may have.

  5. If the patient is in a sturdy carrier:

a technician will proceed into the parking lot.  We ask the client to remove the carrier from the car and hand it to the technician.

If you have a dog on a leash:

please walk on the pathway to the rear hospital door (follow the sign “Walk this Way”).  A technician will meet you inside the fenced yard for transferring the patient.

After the patient is examined you will be called with a treatment plan and estimate of costs.  Once approved, the receptionist will take payment over the phone (preferred) or a staff member may come to your car.

Patients will be brought out to vehicles if in carriers or transferred to clients in the fenced yard if leashed.
