  • Dr. Jansson

    Paul Jansson, DVM

Dr. Jansson did his undergraduate work at Boston College before becoming a member of the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine's second graduating class in 1981.  He and Dr. James Mahler--a classmate, surgery partner, and best friend--opened Pershing Oaks Animal Hospital in order to practice their vision of veterinary medicine: comprehensive medical and surgical care while always striving to build long-lasting relationships with both patients and clients.

When Dr. Jansson isn't at the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his three children: Chase, Drew and Daire, watching the Red Sox, and salt water fishing.
  • Dr. Agee

    Dawn Agee, DVM

Dr. Agee attended the University of Florida, graduating in 1990 with a B.S. degree in Zoology and in 1994 from the College of Veterinary Medicine.  She came to Pershing Oaks Animal Hospital in August of 1997.
She feels that clients as caregivers for their animals, have a right to understand their pets' diseases, and finds client education to be a very rewarding part of veterinary practice.
Outside of POAH, Dr. Agee enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and cat.  The family can often be found camping or at the beach on the weekends.
  • Dr. Duncan

    Michelle Duncan, DVM

Dr. Duncan is a true Gator.  She graduated from the University of Florida in 1996 with a B.S. in Zoology and a minor in Classical Studies.  She spent the next 18 months involved in missionary work on a Navajo reservation and other areas.  Dr. Duncan then returned to UF and graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2003.  She has been with Pershing Oaks Animal Hospital since graduating.  Dr. Duncan enjoys Dermatology, Internal Medicine, and Ophthalmology, but loves to see all kinds of cases.
Dr. Duncan works part-time and spends the rest of the time caring for her three wonderful children.  She also has two kitties, Rio and Harley, who are also a valued part of her busy family.
  • Nanette Parratto-Wagner, DVM, PhD

Dr. Parratto-Wagner, a D.V.M, Ph.D., is an experienced veterinary clinician and researcher. She has served as a member of the faculty of the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston (as researcher, mentor, and clinical veterinarian) and head of veterinary support departments for three corporations. She moved back to Florida in the interest of marital bliss. Dr. Parratto-Wagner has been affiliated with Pershing Oaks Animal Hospital since January 2006. She brings to our small animal practice special expertise in the areas of cancer, dermatology, behavioral problems, immune and endocrine (hormonal) disorders, and pharmacogenetics. She and her husband, Tom, have acquired many wayward dogs and cats over the years and miles, and are currently servants to 5 elderly dogs and 3 senior cats, each with a unique saga and medical disability. "Magoo" is featured – he is behaviorally challenged, but extremely happy and good-natured, none-the-less. Dr. Parratto-Wagner enjoys swimming (and making the dogs swim, too), gardening, and aquaculture.
  • Tina Blow

Tina has been at Pershing Oaks since 1989!  She has one kitty named Princess.  When she isn't chasing her toddler (which is 90% of the time), she can be found at VW car shows and drag racing events.  She would also love to find time to relax with a good book.
  • Alex Erdman

Alex has been with us since October of 2003.  She has a small pack of her own consisting of four dogs and three cats.  She has a German Shephard named Rocky, a Cocker Spaniel named Melody, a Taco (Chihuahua mix) and Mimi her "giant" Boston Terrier.  She also has her cats Isis, Tiger and Fuzzy.  When she is not taking care of her pack she often spends time with her daughter.  Alex also is an accomplished artist (see the mural in room 3), loves to read, fish, go to the beach or dog park and spend time with her friends.  Sometimes she also likes to just have a lazy day.
  • Rohit Karan

Rohit has been with Pershing Oaks since October of 2007.  Originally from Guyana, he has been working with animals for over 27 years.  Besides being our surgery technician he is also our invaluable "Mr. Fix-it".  On weekends Rohit is often found on his boat fishing or tinkering in his garage.  He also enjoys mountain biking and working on his yard.

    Liz Licato

Liz has been with Pershing Oaks since 1999.  She loves all animals and is often nursing a stray kitten or two in hopes of finding them a good home.  She has two cats of her own, Tink and Ashlee.  Her newest addition is a shelter dog named Nya, who is learning to love Kayla, her other rescue dog.  When Liz is not helping animals she is often found playing board games with her daughter or playing with her dogs and cats.
